Viva Las Vegas (part 4)

HOTELS/CASINOS

We spent a fair bit of time just walking along the main strip and popping in and out of hotels/casinos. As sad and uneventful that sounds, it was far from that. All the hotels had some sort of theme or attraction so when I say that we wandered through hotels, what I really mean is we did some sightseeing and stopped to take lots of photos...

So let's go through some of my favourites... in no particular order...

Luxor

The Luxor had an Egyptian theme. The building itself was shaped like a pyramid and there was a huge sphinx at the front. Lots of other cool statues inside and outside of the hotel.

And since the building is pyramid-shaped, elevators couldn't be used. Instead, they had inclinators which went up and down diagonally. Pretty cool I thought.

I thought the Luxor was a really nice hotel. Although the Mirage was lovely with all its palm trees and waterfalls, the interior wasn't quite as funky as the Luxor so I kinda wished that we stayed here. However, this was pretty much at the end of the strip whereas the Mirage was in the middle so it was definitely more convenient.

Excalibur

I felt like a princess at the Excalibur! It looks just like a fairytale castle! So cute!

Thought I'd better include a photo of myself in case you thought I was making up this holiday... hehe...

Yes, I rule...

The guard who checked your ID before letting you in. Just kidding...

Check out the architecture! Its even built like a castle inside! Must contain my excitement and stop revealing how much I want to be Princess Eva...

Ok, there's only so much blogging a girl can do in a day... so that's me done for today... heehee...
